Shashi Ramdany

Shashi is based in London and has 19 years' re/insurance industry experience, including domestic and multi-jurisdictional experience in operations, reinsurance structuring, financial oversight, marketing, company restructuring and driving sustainable long-term growth.
Since 2009 he has been part of Reinsurance Solutions (Mauritius) Limited, where he held the posts of Area Manager and Executive Director, before assuming the role of Group Chief Executive Officer for the Reinsurance Solutions Group - a position he has held since 2016.
In this capacity Shashi currently oversees five offices in Africa and one office in London, which together handle premiums in excess of USD150 million per annum. He leads the strategic implementation, marketing and operations for the whole group, reporting to the Board of Directors.
Shashi holds a BSc. (Hons) in Maritime Business with Maritime Law from the Institute of Marine Studies, University of Plymouth, UK.
Cameron Cupido

Cameron's vision has always been to head up a powerful regional player in African reinsurance.
Today he does just that, guiding a specialist team of brokers within one of South Africa's few majority black-owned reinsurance companies in providing solutions for clients across Southern Africa.
He is also responsibile for the Mauritian and Indian Ocean Islands market, where he develops and maintains the group's portfolio of business in this region. He oversees a producing broker team in Mauritius that services Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar, and Reunion Island.
Previous positions include stints in treaty underwriting and broking with Munich Re, Aon Benfield and Willis Re, and 2 years in London as a Lloyds broker.
He has strong solutions-focused technical and brokering skills, and solid treaty pricing, structuring and placement expertise.
Cameron holds a BSc in Mathematics (2001) from Wits University and is an associate member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (AMASSA).
Harold Mbati
Harold Mbati • Board Member
Harold is the Executive Director responsible for the East African market. He has more than 14 years' experience in both insurance and reinsurance. Before joining Reinsurance Solutions in 2013, Harold worked as treaty specialist at a reinsurance broker in Kenya - at the time the largest reinsurance broker in East Africa - and as a senior underwriter at an insurance company in Kenya.
He joined Reinsurance Solutions International as Treaty Broker in 2013 and quickly grew to become Regional Director for the East African Region in 2015 before being appointed to the board as Executive Director.
Using his robust treaty background and intimate experience in treaty structuring, pricing and placement, Harold has managed to develop a significant treaty portfolio for RSG in East Africa. Together with his team in Kenya, he has grown the company's footprint in the region through his understanding of the East African insurance terrain, and his ability to innovate and champion specialist covers which competitors are hesitant to do.
On Harold's watch, RSG has become one of the market leaders in East Africa, for treaty business, specialist lines and facultative business.
Suraiya Kureemun Alladin
Executive Director, Claims, Compliance and Legal • Board Member
She draws on her diversified transactional experience within the insurance, financial services and retail sectors in overseeing Reinsurance Solutions' claims, compliance, and legal division.
She has more than six years' experience in re/insurance specifically, including a stint at Munich Mauritius Reinsurance Company, demonstrating an affinity for accurately assessing issues to adequately protect clients while still practically applying the law as it relates to the reinsurance sector.
Suraiya holds an LLB (Honours) from the University of Mauritius and completed her Bar Vocational (attorney) studies at the Council of Legal Education, where she was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law.
She is a member of the Mauritius Law Society, Insurance Institute of Mauritius, and the Mauritius Institute of Directors.
