Harold is the Executive Director responsible for the East African market. He has more than 14 years' experience in both insurance and reinsurance. Before joining Reinsurance Solutions in 2013, Harold worked as treaty specialist at a reinsurance broker in Kenya - at the time the largest reinsurance broker in East Africa - and as a senior underwriter at an insurance company in Kenya.
He joined Reinsurance Solutions International as Treaty Broker in 2013 and quickly grew to become Regional Director for the East African Region in 2015 before being appointed to the board as Executive Director.
Using his robust treaty background and intimate experience in treaty structuring, pricing and placement, Harold has managed to develop a significant treaty portfolio for RSG in East Africa. Together with his team in Kenya, he has grown the company's footprint in the region through his understanding of the East African insurance terrain, and his ability to innovate and champion specialist covers which competitors are hesitant to do.
On Harold's watch, RSG has become one of the market leaders in East Africa, for treaty business, specialist lines and facultative business.
